In REEFSCAPE presented by Haas, FIRST© Robotics Competition teams clean up the reef of algae and score coral on the reef to strengthen one of the ocean’s most diverse habitats. At the end of the match, they climb the cages!
THE MATCH INCLUDES:
A 15 second autonomous period in which robots run on preprogrammed instructions:
- Robots score coral on the 4 levels of the reef
- Robots score algae in the processor
- Robots score algae in the net
- Leave their starting zone
During the remaining 135 seconds, robots are controlled by their drivers
- Robots score coral on the 4 levels of the reef
- Robots score algae in the processor
- Robots score algae in the net
- Human players score algae into the net
- In the last 20 seconds of the match, Robots climb the shallow or deep cage, or park in the barge zone
