Hello followers! Team DAVE has been hard at work these past two weeks prepping for our upcoming competitions and our Open House, which will be held on March 5. If you want to see our robot reveal premier but aren’t able to make it, we will be livestreaming the event on our YouTube Channel.
Build has been hard at work manufacturing and assembling the pieces for our robot. They have also helped set up the community practice field run by WWFIRST, which will be used by teams from across the region.
Software has finished helping strategy program the scouting app, which was finished last week. They also finished programming the Kitbot, which is now fully functional! They have continued to work with the limelight, which is able to detect the April Tags that are placed on key field elements such as the Speaker and Amp.
Business has submitted the first portion of the Impact award and has been hard at work writing our presentation script. They have also been working on our music video that we will be submitting for the award, and everyone on the team has our song stuck in their heads. They have also been preparing for our Open House, organizing food and drinks and writing the script for our presenters.
Strategy has finished programming the scouting app, which will help us record information about teams at our competitions. They have begun to train our scouts the use the app by explaining all the app’s features and scouting some matches from the Hueneme Port Regional.
The team has been working very hard these past weeks, and is proud of all the progress that they have made. We are thankful for our mentors, parents, and sponsors, without whom we shouldn’t be where we are now. We are looking forward to seeing you at our Open House this Thursday!
